Footed planters (or monster planters as I call them) are one of my favorite things to make. The body is thrown on the wheel and then the feet are hand built and added after the bowl is trimmed and dried just before the leather hard stage.
They are all unique and they tell me how they want to be glazed. I usually sit there with pieces with my eyes closed for a few seconds and then it comes to me.
People use these for plants, cotton balls, remotes, candy, paper clips, just as a cool art piece…whatever.
This monster is 3.5 inches tall, 7.75 inches wide with a 7 inch opening.
